WCP Coir Net Pellet  &  WCP Coir Pellet

Coir Net Pellet

Place the WCP coir pellets in a tray. Water gently with lukewarm water to expand the pellets. 1 pellet  will take app. 30 ml. of water. After app.3 - 5 minutes the pellets should be expanded. The coco substrate will be kept in shape by the thin net.

WCP coir net pellets are ideal for :
Sowing small seeds into Coir Pellets- For seeds such as begonia and lobelia sow a tiny pinch of seeds into individual Starter Coir Pellets. Do not cover the seeds as these very small seeds germinate better if they are not covered.

Sowing larger seed into Coir Pellets - For seeds such as tomato simply drop 1 or 2 seeds into a Starter Coir Pellet. If possible cover these larger seeds with a sprinkling of vermiculite. This keeps the seed moist during germination. Once large enough, plant, the plant and the pellet into a coir pot full of coir compost.

Taking cuttings into Coir Pellets - Take cuttings of tender perennials such as fuchsias, geraniums, verbena etc. (many of the plants used in baskets and tubs through the summer will provide cuttings). Push the cuttings into the coir pellets and place in a tray or propagator or simply cover with a plastic bag and keep on a warm windowsill. They should root in 2-3 weeks.

Coir Discs

Coir Pith discs and coins which are mainly used to grow maintain the moisture in roots of plants. These coir pith discs are suitable for seed rising, seedlings or sapling and are available in different sizes and thickness.
