Original Porsche PIWIS Tester II in stock now
The new Panamera can only be diagnosed using this tester. Based on current project planning, all earliervehicle models will gradually be changed over to the new PIWIS Tester II by the end of 2010. Until then,PIWIS Tester I must be used for older models in the Porsche workshop.
Support for PIWIS Tester I will no longer be available once the earlier diagnostic programs have been transferred onto PIWIS Tester II.
When the PIWIS Tester II is distributed, it will contain one basic piece of software. This is necessary in orderto start and configure the tester.

You will find instructions in other languages in the Porsche Partner Network (PPN) under: AFTERSALES, Workshop, PIWIS, PIWIS Tester.
The new tester generation supports wireless operation over WLAN. To use this, you must have a WLAN AccessPoint that supports WPA2 encryption. This type of encryption will be used exclusively for safety reasons.
If thisprerequisite is met, the interface to the vehicle (VCI - Vehicle Communication Interface) can also be used as awireless interface on the vehicle.
The following illustration (figure 1) shows one possible network option. To usethis, you must have a WLAN Access Point that supports WPA2-PSK encryption.
