The  chemical  name  of  natural  pumice  lava  stone  is   amorphous  aluminium  silicate.It  has  many  other  uses, like  mild abrasive for  finishing  of  glass,  metal,  wood,  leather  and  plastic.It  is  an  effective  filtering  media  for  drinking  water, its  absorption  and  filteration  qualities  are  useful  for  purifying  oil  or  removing  odour.  It  is  also  used  in  the  making  of  stone  washed  jeans  and  making  of  cosmetic  abrasive.
