Glycerin

It is a syrupy, colorless, odorless and hygroscopic liquid (a substance that tends to absorb moisture from the air), vegetable glycerin is often used in cosmetics for healthy skin and hair.

Vegetable glycerin is an emollient (softens and soothes), a humectant (moisturizes, protects against dehydration). It is hypoallergenic (minimal risk of allergies), antiseptic, emulsifying, it facilitates or stabilizes emulsions like lotions, creams, milk etc.
