Following extensive research and testing, Cut-Tex® PRO, a tested and certified ISO 13997:1999 blade cut proof fabric level 5 material (the highest possible) and ASTM F-1790 blade cut resistance level 4 fabric was introduced to the public about two years ago.
Cut-Tex® PRO is now being used to create cut proof fabric for law enforcement and prison officers, emergency services, private security and public transport professionals, as well as bite resistant arm guards for professionals working within mental health care and psychiatric facilities.
Cut-Tex® PRO lined uniforms or tactical apparel will offer an approximately 400% higher level of cut protection.
If the goal is to offer the wearer the best possible cut protection from real threats such as knives, blades and specially engineered 'cutting/slashing weapons' then Cut-Tex® PRO is more or less the only 'ultimate’ choice.
Another very important point is that Kevlar will deteriorate during the washing processes. However, our test reports clearly prove that Cut-Tex® PRO will offer an even higher level of cut protection following 10 industrial washes, which equals around 60 domestic washes.
