Automotive Gas Oil (AGO)
Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) popularly known as diesel is a complex mixture of hydrocarbons produced by mixing fractions obtained from the distillation of crude oil with brand-specific additives to improve performance. Under normal conditions it is a liquid with a characteristic odour. Diesel is produced by
blending straight-run middle distillates (minimum 40%) with varying proportions of straight-run gas oil, light vacuum distillates, light thermally-cracked distillates and light catalytically-cracked distillates.
AUTOMOTIVE GAS OIL – AGO
– Distillation - Rec @ 365 Deg. C, FBP
– Sulphur - Maximum 0.05 %
– Viscosity - 1.6 – 5.5 Cst
– Cloud Point - Max 12
– Cold Filter Plugging Point Max 6 deg. C
– Sediment - Max 0.01
– Water - Max 0.05
– Ash - Max 0.01
– Carbon Residue - Max 0.15
– Total Acid Number - 0.5
