Production of cement kiln are mainly divided into wet and dry types according to the production technology . And the kiln used in wet cement production way is wet cement, wet production is made the raw material to slurry contents 32 % to 40 % moisture . Since the slurry having fluidity, so the raw materials are mixed well , uniform raw material composition , the calcined clinker is high quality, this is the major advantage of the wet production process . Dry rotary kiln and wet rotary kiln advantages and disadvantages is opposite . Dry way is made raw material to dry powder, generally less than 1% moisture , so it reduces the heat of evaporation water than wet way . Because of the hollow kiln exhaust gas temperature is high , so the heat consumption is high to . Dry way production is made raw material to dry powder, its fluidity is worse than slurry . So mixing of raw materials is bad and uneven ingredients.

Advantage
The dry way production is feed the dry raw material powder into rotary kiln directly, and raw material moisture content is 1%~2%, and reduced the heat need to drying raw material. Now dry way production can produce high quality and evenly mixed raw material, and the new type preheater rotary kiln decompose raw material powder and carbonate under suspension condition in rotary kiln outside, it's high heat efficiency, reduced rotary kiln loads, low heat consumption and improve the 30% heat consumption of wet way production up to above 60%, and also increased the kiln capacity, and now the standard rotary kiln type capacity is 3000t/d, biggest is 10000t/d. In china we have 700t/d, 2000t/d, 4000t/d models, and are developing to big scale gradually. The raw material calcined well under pre-decomposition process, and temperature inside rotary kiln is high,clinker cooling quickly, can calcine high aluminium silicate ratio, high saturation ratio and high-alumina ratio clinker, clinker with high hardness, so named suspended preheating and predecomposition kiln as new type dry rotary kiln, or new type dry type production line, and the new dry type production way is the developing direction in future. New type dry kiln is big scale, with high investment, and has high standard request for the technology and industrial supporting ability.
