OTIS TARDA has implemented and successfully tested the technology of casting for polydicyclopentadiene (PDCPD-polymer) - two-component polymer, allowing to fabricate affordable, high-quality plastic products with an extensive range of applications.
Polydicyclopentadiene (PDCPD) is a relatively novel type of material with specific properties (low density and impact resistance, electric non-conductibility), being actively employed presently for high-quality plastic products for the automotive, pipeline and construction industries. Owing to its excellent strength properties and rigidity, the polydicyclopentadiene is capable of replacing most of the traditional high-impact strength materials.
Among the main features of this advanced material is its high chemical and thermal stability within wide temperature range, ultimate resistance to aggressive mediums, UV- resistance, waterproofness and virtually complete absence of restrictions on the size and thickness of the end products.
