CNHYBOND 944 Tape primer can be used to promote adhesion of adhesive tapes to ensure improved bond strength on difficult surfaces like polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, PET/PBT blends, concrete, wood, glass, metal and painted metal surfaces. It can successfully replace 3M 94, 3M K-520,3M K-500,3M 3M4298UV, 3M 4297, 3M 4299 Tape Primer.It is widely applied in Door and window sealing strip, glass seal strip, curtain wall building doors and windows sealing strip

Application Techniques

1.Surface preparation:

The bonding surface must be relatively clean and dry.Contaminated surfaces should be cleaned with a 50/50 Isopropyl Alcohol and water mixture,A clean lint-free cloth should be used.

2.Application: Shake CNHYBOND 944 primer well before using:

(1).Apply a thin uniform coating to the bonding surface using the minimum amount that will fully coat the surface, allow cnhybond 944 primer to dry thoroughly before applying tape. This is usually accomplished in 5 minutes at room temperature, Be sure the primed surface remains free from contaminants prior to applying the tape. Porous surfaces may require 2 application of CNHYBOND 944 primer for uniform coverage and good adhesion..

(2). Allow first application of primer to dry before applying the second coat, CNHYBOND primer 944 may be applied with brush or swab, It can also be applied with a pressurized flow gun, knurled roller or other similar type of application equipment

(3).Drying Time

Drying time generally depends on the temperature, humidity,thickness of coating. 
Normal drying time:1 minute-1 hour   
The best drying time:10-30minutes(temperature:23℃, moisture65%) 

Keep coating surface clean while operating

(4).Stick double sided tapes 
Stick double sided tapes to the surface of coating, and press it strongly. 

 

Clean up:

Cnhybond 944 primer can be removed with isopropyl alcohol,Vigorous scrubbing may be required

Shelf life

1. 12 months from date of manufacture when stored in the original container at 15-27℃

2. Keep cnhybond tape primer 944 in the original container

3. Keep original container tightly sealed to avoid solvent evaporation
