GPS satellite acquisition times are under 45 seconds, even quicker if there has been a recent position fix. GLONASS satellite data is also used for greater accuracy. The receiver also can interpret Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) signals so you can receive information from terrestrial antennas even when your view of the sky is obstructed and benefit from greater signal accuracy overall. A barometric altimeter provides altitude for pilots and helps boaters predict changes in weather. The device is accurate up to 60,000' above sea level and speeds up to 999 miles per hour so it can easily handle aviation scenarios.
A bug in iOS 8.3 may interrupt the flow of GPS data from your Bad Elf device to any third party applications. There have been no known instances of this particular issue with any other version of iOS.
