UNIDOX FORTE is a reliable antibiotic that fights bacteria. Doxycycline is used to treat many different bacterial infections.
Composition (per 1 gm)Doxycycline hyclate 350 mg
Indications
- Doxycycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit.
- Doxycycline has bacteriostatic activity against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gramnegative bacteria.
- Used for Infections caused by micro-organisms sensitive to doxycycline, like E. Coli, Salmonella, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Bordetella, Streptococcus, Campylobacter and Haemophilus spp. In poultry and livestock.
Dosage
Orally via drinking water.
- Cattle, sheep, goat: 2 gm per 200 kg bodyweight, twice the first day, then once daily during 3-5 days.
- Poultry: 200 gm per 1000 litres of drinking water during 3-5 days.
