Unidox Oxy
Unidox Oxy is effective to treat gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by microorganisms
Composition: (per 1 gm)
Doxycycline hyclate 100 mg
Cesytetracycline 100 mg
Indications
- Doxycycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit.
- Doxycycline has bacteriostatic activity against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
- Oxytetracycline inhibits translation, which results in cell death.
- It binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit and prevents the amino-acyl tRNA from binding to the A site of the ribosome, inhibiting protein synthesis (elongation).
- Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by oxytetracycline and doxycycline sensitive microorganisms, like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. Coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Treponema spp. In calves, goats, poultry, and sheeps.
Dosage
for oral administration.
