Unicox Amprolium
UNICOX AMPROLIUM will compete with thiamine active transport to prevent coccidian merozoite production.
Composition (per 1 gm)
Amprolium hydrochloride 300 mg
Indications
- Amprolium HCL is thiamine antagonist and due to its close structural similarity it blocks the thiamine receptors.
- this blockage of receptors prevents coccidia from utilizing thiamine and as a result thiamine is unavailable to coccidian.
- UNICOX AMPROLIUM is indicated for coccidiosis caused by coccidia susceptible to Amprolium (Eimeria spp.), or gastro-intestinal infections for which it is therapeutically or prophylactically indicated to administer Amprolium in calves, goats, sheep's and poultry.
Dosage
- Poultry: Preventive: 1 gm per 4 Liters of drinking water.
- Treatment: 1 gm per 2 Liters of drinking water during 5-7 days.
