W.Indian. Syn.: bicolor Valenciennes. Moderate spire and about eight whorls. Fine spiral threads and finely lamellated growth lines. About six varices per whorl with some eight, hollow spines on ridge of earlier, frilled lip; a short ridge with three spines(not hollow) in the middle of the body whorl between each varix. Columella with posterior tooth and expanded, plicate shied. Long, deep, recurved siphonal canal is slightly open. White, sometimes with pink tinges; aperture bright shiny pink.
