Helios Portable Arm is designed for acquiring 3-dimensional measuring points & surfaces on its work-space with a simple manual movement of the user using a touch probe or the AEHScan scanning laser head. Helios Portable Arm  is made of aeronautical aluminum, with high precision optical transducers (encoders) on its joints. The structure assures a good accuracy and guarantees the maintenance of the calibration for a long time. You can use the Helios Portable Arm  with a common laptop PC. The electronic board communicates with PC through a USB direct link cable Points acquisition and commands of the software menu is made by 3 buttons on the probe or by foot pedals.Helios Portable Arm is integrated with many commercial CAD/CAM softwaresuch as Delcam (PowerShape and PowerInspect), AlphaCAM and Rhinoceros, Capps-nt and etc.. Helios Portable Arm  is available with certificate of accuracy, electromagnetic certification compliance and CE Certicate. Upon request, there's also SIT certificate according to ISO-EN10360-2 norm for customer. Helios Portable Arm  is an ideal instrument for digitization and metrology application, and responds to all requirements of acquisition of samples to elaborate them with a CAD software or working on CNC machine.
