DESCRIPTION
Comensflex 8255 is a fast curing flexible high performance polyurethane based adhesive for bonding windshields to vehicle bodyshells (direct glazing) and glass to metal or wood. Comensflex 8255 is manufactured under strict quality systems including ISO 9001/ISO 14001/ TS 16949.

Comensflex 8255 offers extremely high initial bond strength. Its fast rate of curing results in rapid strength development and shorter service times.
1. Bonding trim, molding and all kinds of styling elements.
2. Structural bonding of large parts, including sheet metal, composites and glass.
3. Used to replace rivets and other mechanical fasteners.
PROCESS
Cleaning:
Clean surface with a strong jet of compressed air, sandblast, or solvent to ensure the surface being clean, dry, free of oil, grease, and of sound quality.
Activating/Priming:
Prime the to-be bonded area of bodyshell with recommended body-primer and allow to dry for ~1-2 minutes. Clean inside surface of glass with recommended cleaner taking care to clean only the surface where the urethane bond will be made. Apply recommended glass-primer over the cleaned bond area of glass. Allow primer to dry for ~1-2 minutes.
Application of sealant:
Cut tip to desired shape and size. A triangular shaped notch will provide the desired bead shape and height. Puncture airtight seal. Install with hand or power operated gun and extrude the sealant. A height of 1/2 to 9/16 inch and a 1/4 -5/16 inch base is suggested. Put the glass in place within 15 minutes.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE
When stored at the recommended conditions in original, unopened containers, this product has a shelf life of 9 months (cartridge), 6 months (sausage and drum).
The shelf life of polyurethane sealant is related to the temperature and humidity of the environment. The recommended storage temperature is 5-25° C, humidity is <50% RH. It is strictly prohibited that the transportation or storage temperature is over 30° C or the humidity is over 80% RH. And high-temperature container transportation is prohibited as well. In the long-time high temperature and high humidity storage environment, the product is easy to get viscous, extrusion will be deteriorated and shelf life will be shortened.
