13X adsorbent is the sodium form of the Type X molecular sieve and an alkali metal aluminosilicate.
13X adsorbent will adsorb molecules with critical diameters up to 10 angstroms.
APPLICATIONS:
13X adsorbent is used commercially for gas and liquefied hydrocarbon dehydration and purification(removal of polar oxygenates and sulfur compounds). All molecules that can be adsorbed on molecular sieve Types 3A, 4A, and 5A can be adsorbed on 13X adsorbent. In addition, it can adsorb molecules of larger critical diameters, such as aromatics and branched-chain hydrocarbons.
