Fiberglass Tissue(Fiberglass Roofing Mat) provides effective reinforcement for bituminous coatings and improves their dimensional stability. These will not rot and will guarantee the waterproofing of roofs over many years. The inert nature of the glass mat means that it can also be used as an efficient separation layer under sheets of supple PVC. This glass mat is also used for the production of PVC or EPDM roofing membranes. Likewise it gives those membranes the desired dimensional stability. Glass mat is saturated by a continuous process with modified bitumen, PVC or EDPM, to obtain water-proof membranes to be afterwards placed on roofs (flamed, glued or mechanically fixed)
