Fumaric Acid
Purpose and Nature: Fumaric acid is an important organic—chemical raw material used mainly in the synthesizing pharmaceutics, unsaturated polyester resins, coatings, plasticizers, L-malic acid, L-aspartic acid, etc, also used as foodstuff additives.
Fumaric acid is a white crystalline powder with specifically acidulous and nonpoisonous. It can be dissolved in alcohol, a little in water, ethylether and acetric acid. Its specific density is of 1.635, melting point 286-302 Celsius system, boiling point 290 Celsius system (decomposition).
Quality Standards: Enterprise standard Q/TQY001-1999, in which Food Grade 1 correspon-ding to FCC IV-1996 standard.
