Silicon carbide

It is a kind of man-made material, and is fused in an arc furnace from a mixture of nature silicon, coal (or cola), and small salt at the temperature of 2000-2500℃ . A wide use of Sic is in abrasive wheel, refractory and ceramic materials etc. It is divided into black and green Sic.
