Characteristics: white wonoclinic crystal powder, odor of Sulfur dioxide odor. Slightly soluble in ethanol. Solution is acidic,, stronger votive, easily oxidated or losing sulfur dioxide in the air.
Uses: blanching cotton fabrics, reducer of dyeing, paper-making, leather, chemical synthesis, used in making pharmaceutical intermediates and photography reagent, food bleaching agents, preservatives, antioxidants.
