We are one of the leading projectors of medical gas pipeline system in China and have carried out such projects for more than a hundred hospitals in China, which gives us valuable experience.

Medical gas pipeline system includes: central oxygen supply system, medical vacuum system, compress air system, AGSS, N2O supply system, CO2 supply system and N2 supply system.

Central oxygen supply system

There are mainly three types of oxygen supply devices in China: gas manifold, oxygen cylinder and oxygen generator. Gas manifolds are mainly used in small and medium sized hospitals which have relatively low demand of oxygen while oxygen cylinders are mainly used in large scale hospitals. The cost of oxygen generator is relatively high but the later cost for use is low and it is now used in many hospitals.

Gas pipelines are usually made of brass and the diameter of it ranges from Φ8 to Φ35.

Usually each floor is equipped with a pressure reducer (functions as both pressure reducer and valve for stopping gas flow). The nurse station is equipped with a medical gas alarm system, which is connected with pressure reducers through wire.

Bedhead units will be installed in wards with gas outlets and other equipment on it. Every ward has a valve to shut off the oxygen supply or two wards can share one. According to Chinese medical regulations, the copper pipes transferring oxygen can not be installed inside the wall. They can only be installed above the ceiling or in channels. Our usual practice is to install bedhead unit in every ward, through which the copper pipes can go. In China, the width of the bedhead unit is usually the same as that of the wall while in other countries the width is usually 1.2m or 1.5m.

Unlike in China, an alarm system is also required to be installed in gas station.

Medical Vacuum System

Medical vacuum system is mainly applied in wards, operation rooms and urgency rooms. In China, most wards have two types of gas systems. One is central oxygen supply system; the other is medical vacuum system.

Medical vacuum system usually consists of vacuum pump, vacuum tank, electric control system for vacuum, megnet-electric valve and gas-water separator. There are two to three vacuum pumps in one system which work alternatively so that the vacuum state is reached in a short time and the duration of the pumps can be prolonged.

Vacuum pumps of different rates are used according to the actual situation of different hospitals. The vacuum pump is made of stainless steel or carboloy steel and the capacity is usually 1 to 2 cubic meters.

The medical compress air system

The medical compress air system is mainly used in operation rooms or the dentist’s to supply power for medical equipment or are used for Life-support machine.

It consists of the air compressor, the gas storage tank, electric control cabinet., refrigerating dryer, filter and so on. Usually there are two air compressors which work alternatively so that the duration of them is prolonged.

There are two types of air compressors available for you to choose.

The capacity of the tank is 1-3 cubic meters, and it is made of stainless or carboloy steel.

The pipelines are made of red copper and the thickness varies according to different situations. The medical gas outlets for vacuum are installed on the bedhead unit or in the pendants.

In some countries, gas manifolds are used for vacuum supply.

N2O, N2, CO2

These gases are mainly used in operation rooms. N2O can be used as anaesthesia, which reduces the patient’s pain in operation. N2 and CO2 are applied in Life-support machine and other special equipment. Usually gas manifolds are used as the demand for these three gases is relatively low. The diameters of different high pressure soft pipes used in a gas manifold are different to distinguish between different gases.

AGSS

In China, vacuum suction system is used in AGSS and jet stream technology is now also used in hospitals at present.

Vacuum suction method is applied in AGSS and the pipeline structure is similar to that of vacuum system. Usually PVC pipelines are used as the pressure in AGSS system is relatively small. A water trough is installed at the outlet to prevent the exhaust from polluting the atmosphere. (The main component of the exhaust is N2O , which can be absorbed by water.)

Jet stream technology is one of the latest technologies applied in AGSS. medical compress air system and vacuum suction system technology are both applied in this type of AGSS. Its advantage is that it maintains a stable flow, which causes no pain to the patient.

The AGSS outlets are usually installed in pendants.

Our projects of central gas supply system goes in the following process:

  • Our engineers work out the blueprint and relative parameters according to the chart of the installment site you send to us.
  • If you find any mistakes in the blueprint or if you have any suggestions after you checked it, you can inform our engineers of you advice, The blueprint will be revised according to your suggestion. Such revising goes on until the blueprint is approved by you. The blueprint is free of charge.
  • We send you a list of necessary equipment and materials for you to check, based on the approved blueprint. If you have any doubts on the list, communication goes on between you and us until an agreement is reached on the list.
  • Project contract is signed if the two sides reach an agreement on the total fee of the project and equipment.
  • The buying or manufacturing of the listed equipment or materials will begin after we receive your deposit. Our engineers will be then sent to the project site to carry out the project.
  • Fee of the project is to be paid step by step as the project proceeds. The last portion of the fee is to be paid after the whole projected is completed and has passed your inspection.
  • If any repair work is needed due to the quality of our product within a year, the repair work will be free of charge. If you still wish to have our technical support one year after the system is installed, extra fee will be charged.
  • Due to our experience in carrying out oversea projects such as in Nepal, East Timor, Madagascar and so on, we can ensure the quality of our project.
