Instruction of the Essential parts of the whole set of solar power supply: Solar supply system consists of the solar module, solar controller and battery (group). If the output current is 220V AC or 110V AC, the inverter is also needed. The function of all parts

(1)   Solar module: the core of the system, and also the highest value of the system. The function is the conversion of radiating energy into electricity or storage into the battery, or Impetus the work of the load.

(2)   Solar controller: control the working situation of the system, and have the function of protect over-charge and over-discharge. And other additional functions, such as: temperature compensation, switches of the light control and time control.

(3)   Battery: usually it is the lead-acid battery, in micro system, Nickel hydrogen battery, Ni-cadmium or lithium battery is also available. The function is storage the electricity from the solar module when having the sunlight, dispatched when it is necessary.

(4)   Inverter: in most cases, 220VAC, 110VAC is needed.

 

The solar panel converts sunlight into DC power or electricity to charge the battery. This DC electricity/(charge) is controlled via a solar controller, which ensures the battery is charged properly and not damaged and that power is not lost/(discharged). DC appliances can then be powered directly from the battery, but AC appliances need an inverter to convert the DC electricity into 220 Volt AC power.
