Baicalin is a flavonoid found in the radix of Scutelleria baicalensis that has antioxidant activity. It has anti-inflammatory effects, anti-HIV activity, apoptosis induction and inibition of colon aberrant crypts. It is yellow hygroscopic powder. Baicalin can be used to cure colds and treat acute, deferred and chromic hepatitis, etc.
