The EMG needles are connected to the preamplifier of the EMG machine via a special EMG cable , the EMG machine amplify, filters and displays the recorded EMG potentials on a monitor and generates simultaneously sound signals vis a loudspeaker. During examination, the physician inserts the needles into muscles, and asks the patient to do muscle contractions.
