VC-VII vacuum degree tester is the seventh generation of the VC series and inherits the previous functions. The LCD is designed on the panel for users. The number of curves and the corresponding model of the vacuum interrupter are stored in the tester; the user can perform the test without instruction. The tester stored 43 pcs of update curves of interrupters that are corresponding to more than 300 types of overseas and domestic vacuum interrupters. It displays the waveforms of the leakage current and ionization current, from which the clients can judge there is the rod discharge or not in the ionization current.
1. Ionization charge sampling technique
2. VC series Vacuum Tester have adopted sampling technique of ionization charge. In the research of magnetic-control discharge, experts of our company have discovered the following phenomenon: when outer stimulated power, size of VI and adopted material in steady condition, vacuum inside of VI will have exact homologous relation with the ionization charge amount; but have only probability relation with peak value of ionization current. Therefore, based on this research, our company has initially created the sampling technique of ionization charge, which has greatly improved the veracity of VI’s vacuum measuring.
3. Disposal of leakage current
4. Leakage current with different values of microamperes may appear when applying high voltage to two sides of VI in breaking condition. It may differs greatly even to VIs with same type. Especially to those VIs have mounted on switchgear, as leakage current occurs surrounding insulating supporting parts, the total sum of leakage current is unsteady and unforeseeable, further it’s value is close to the ionization current of VI 10E-4Pa. The leakage current is deducted by the methods of starting high voltage two times, which ensure the VI’s vacuum metering accuracy whether it is mounted on switchgear or not.

7. PC control measuring, leakage rate calculation and forming measuring data-base.
8. This part is an optional one. The tube type, current or vacuum degree and the data-base are rectified by interface. PC instrument control whole measuring process, display results and store data into rectification pointed data-base. The leak rate calculation can be done by controlling interface after two-times measuring for same VI.

10.Owing to the difference of VI’s geometric size and materials, when inner vacuum and outer stimulate power kept steady, the charge amounts of discharge will be different, and has great discrepancy. To ensure the accuracy of measurement, each VI shall have its corresponding calculation curves from ionization charge amount to vacuum. Through close cooperation with domestic major VI manufacturers, our experts have obtained almost complete data regarding relation of VI’s ionization charge amount and vacuum, further have put them into VC serial products through mathematics disposal. Therefore, VC serial products equipped almost complete measuring curves both at home and abroad, which is the only example of same products in domestic and abroad market.

12.When vacuum in VI is very low, the VI will be breakdown by high voltage while measuring. The instantaneous high voltage will apply directly onto signal output sampling circuit, and exert strong electric shock on it. Since signal input end sampling circuit of VC-VIB added perfect protective circuit, even if the instrument has moment mis-operation owing to high voltage breakdown from input end, it will not cause any circuit damage.

★ The tester is applied to the quality controlling of interrupter on the product line and the checking on the incoming interrupter for the breaker manufacturers.
★The tester is applied to the checking on the vacuum degree of the vacuum interrupter installed on the switchgear body. This type of test is to measure the vacuum degree of vacuum interrupter as the users maintain and check the vacuum switchgear.
The computer is available to control the measurement of the above both of tests through RS-232C port and is to save the test result and date, in additional, to search and calculate the leakage rate.
