Ni/Diatomite (diatomaceous earth) composite powders consist of a diatomite
core coated with a thin layer of nickel. It has the superior oxidation resistance,
anti scour and thermal shock resistance.
The coatings obtained by thermo-spraying are oxidation resistant and heat-shock resistant at 750℃ or below and air abradable seal applications. The
coatings with oxidation resistant, anti scour and thermal shock resistance is
combined the heat-resistant quality of the natural diatomaceous earth and the strength and good
adhesion of Ni. It is used in the abradable seal coating at 750℃ or below. Not
only control the radial clearance of the turbine but also keep the sealing of the gas
circuit of the gas compressor.
