White crystalline, hydroscopic property and deliquescent; easy soluble in water and alcohol. Itll explode when contacting oxidants. When heated to a
temperature of over 200, it would decompose rapidly and release hydrogen phosphide.

Application:as reductant in  non-electrical deposition of nickel (Nickel Chloride, buffers.) It  builds complexes with the nickel in the bath, improving the  fineness of the surface after treatment.
