This environmental friendly clock is powered by water batteries. Water batteries are good for the environment because they can be stored indefinitely and can be disposed without releasing hazardous substances. The batteries work in the following way: The electric voltage is generated by two special electrodes which use the water in a electrochemical reaction (water battery)to produce electric current. The water needs to be replaced every 2-3 months and one battery lasts for about 2 years. The clock has 4 functions, which can be chosen by rotating the clock. The current position (and therefore also the current function) is determined by water in the case of the clock, which always flows to the lowest position. This really makes it a fully water powered clock. These functions are included: Time, alarm, timer and temperature. The clock has a diameter of about 12cm and is 5cm deep. |
