Dichlorodifluoromethane, a colorless gas at room temperature, is a nontoxic, non-flammable, colorless, transparent liquid under the pressure created by itself.

It has excellent thermal and chemical stabilities. It does not corrode metals except magnesium and magnesium alloy. It does not dissolve in water, but can easily dissolve in hydrocarbons, halohy drocarbons and certain solvents at any ratio. As a convenient and safe refrigreant, it can be used in various refrigeration systems with a temperature range from -60oC to 10oC. It can also be used in these fields such as spice industry, medical treatments and plastic industry.
