The selected microorganisms with their long lasting action, fixed on mineral supports degrade the chemical and organic compounds. Once the long molecular chains of compounds are broken down to simpler ones and the high COD values are decreased, then it is a lot more easier for the natural flora to reactivate and start degradation. The specific selected microorganisms show a long lasting effect while the enzymes in the products start a rapid breakdown that eases the work of microorganisms. Though can be applied directly in normal urban plants, for aggressive waste water it is better if DCD106 is diluted in 1:10 ratio of calm water at 30-40C for a time of about 10-15 min. The general dose is 4 gr. for each 10 kg. of COD to be degraded per week A practical start-up dose is 50 gr. per each 100 equal inhabitants, to be dosed three times for the first week.
