High pressure plunger piston pump is generally very efficient and suitable for high heads at low
flows. Plunger pumps are
self priming as it can draw liquid from a level below the suction flange even
if the suction pipe is not evacuated. Plunger pumps are not tolerant to solid
particles.
Here, pistons are reciprocated using crankshaft,
not cam type mechanism.
Pressure Jet industrial high pressure plunger piston pumps are positive
displacement plunger piston pumps. In a reciprocating pump, a
volume of liquid is drawn into the cylinder through the suction valve on the
intake stroke and is discharged under positive pressure through the outlet
valves on the discharge stroke. Flow rate of pump is directly proportional to
its SPM (Strokes per minute). Pressure Jet plunger pumps have
three synchronized plungers that discharge liquids at high pressure with

OPERATION
In the process of
bringing crude oil out of the ground, a large quantity of salt water or
brackish water is also brought up. In a typical oil field situation, the crude
oil is pumped to a holding tank. After approx. a half day, the crude oil
separates from the salt/brackish water, the oil rises to the top of the tank
and the waste water & sediment remain at the bottom of the tank. To avoid
transfer of sediment with the salt water, the salt water outlet is tapped into
the tank about one foot above its bottom. At this level, the hose connects the
tank to the inlet of the pump, which then pumps the salt water back into the
ground under high pressure.

Normally the
boilers are fired by natural gas, however, during extreme weather conditions,

Exciting of beers
is making beer foam. Just before beer bottles are capped, they are charged
with a high pressure shot of water, which causes the beer to
foam/excite. This is very important part of the procedure forces gases out

In Oleochem
industries, oil is to be splitted and converted into crude fatty acid. This oil
splitting process requires counter flow of oil and water at high temperature
& pressure.
From one end, oil is
fed into the splitting tower under pressure with the help of a high pressure
triplex plunger pump through a heat exchanger, wherein its temperature is
raised upto 230 to 250o C. From another end, water after passing through a heat
exchanger and raising its temperature to 250o C is passed to the splitting
tower under pressure by a high pressure pump. This process is called as
hydrolysis process. Oil starts splitting into fatty acid and glycerol. The
later gets mixed with water, whereas; density difference separates the former
being light in weight.
