Tempered glass Also called toughened glass.Tempered glass is made by heating flat glass to just below its softening temperature and suddenly hilling it with jets of cold air.  Tempered glass is obtained by heating ordinary glass to its softening point and then suddenly cooling down to form compression in the surface layer of the glass, thus the mechanical strength is increased by times.the surface compression of tempered glass is above 90MPa,and the surface compression of Heat-strengthened glass is between 24MPa to 69MPa.
