Colorless and transparent glassy sphere with specific gravity of 2.484 and melting point of 6160C. It slightly dissolves into the water but not into the organic solvent. In warm water and acid, it easily hydrolyze to orthophosphate. It reacts with the metallic ions such as Ca, Mg etc. to generate complex salt. It remained stable in the heating mode in the purpose of controlling corrosion and scaling.
