Globe valves derive their name from the rounded bodies/spherical shape and are widely used in fitting industry to regulate fluid flow in both on/off and throttling service. These linear motion valves consist of moving parts including disk, the valve stem, and the hand wheel.
The stem is used to connect the hard wheel and the disk; the valves are threaded and fit into the threads of the valve bonnet. These specialty valves allow fluids to pass the spaces between the edge of the disk and the seat when open.
