This noncontact thermometer uses infrared technology to quickly and conveniently measure the surface temperature of any hard- object with absolute accuracy. This lightweight, compact, and easy-to-use, IR thermometers can safely measure hot, hazardous, rotating, or hard-to-reach object without contaminating, touching or damaging the object. It allow users to measure temperature in applications where conventional sensors cannot be employed. Specifically, in cases dealing with moving objects like rollers, moving machinery or a conveyor belt, or where non-contact measurements are required because of contamination or hazardous reasons (such as high voltage), where distances are too great, or where the temperatures to be measured are too high for thermocouples or other contact sensors. This IR thermometer can provide several readings per second, as compared to contact methods where each measurement can take several minutes. You simply aim, pull the trigger and read the temperature on the LCD display. The built-in single dot laser guide system with on/off switch helps you center your spot readings. The backlight switch helps illuminate the screen to be able to measure in the dark or in low level lighting area without any problem. Generally it had become the indispensable tool for many maintenance, diagnostics, quality control, and spot measurements of critical processes. The energy of the infrared radiated by the object has a close relationship with the temperature of the object's surface. Infrared thermometer collects infrared energy to its sensor using the built-in lens. Then the sensor switches heat energy into electrical signal. After the microprocessor processes the electric signal, the collected temperature value will be displayed on LCD display screen.
