Perforating process
Die
The perforating process starts by designing the precision die. We believe that the quality of the die is critical of the quaility of the product. We have therefore invested heavily in this area in recent years and developed our die making techniques.
Perforating
We use the CNC machine to produce state-to-art product. The day is over 3000 square meters. We can perforate the material thickness from 0.1mm to 25mm.
Sitting
Sitting to your finished width is done in-line from a coil.
Shearing
Our adept worker can shear the margins when the tolerance is greater than our in-line process.
Roller leveing
We can bring the perforated material thichness arrange from 0.8mm-12mm back to the original flathness with the roller process.
Cleaniness
The perforating process requires the use of lubricants, and a degreesing step can be applied to clean oil free from the material surfaces.
Fabrating
Besides custom perforating, we also offer a full range of in-house and out-soured secondary fabricating and finishing operations, which include: leveling, shearing, circle shearing, bar coding labeling, custom packaging, degreasing, deburring, forming, blanking. Annealing painting powder coating, anodizing, welding, polishing, joining, bending, rolling.
Surface finish
Perforating, leveling and shearing normally leave slight surface imperfections behind that are considered acceptable in the industry. If required, special precautions such as vinyl coted material and paper interleaving can be taken, at additional cost.
Perforated/buying guide
We probide a brief guide to help you understand the nomeclature used for the specification of different types of perforated sheet.
Material
We can provide you the following material: stainless steel, carbon steel, zinc, galvanized, aluminum, brass, copper, plywood, fiberboard, rubberborad, woodboard, pasteboard, AL-MG, alloyplate, nickel-plate, fiber, glass, PVC, plate, composites.
Specification
We can manufcture a wide range of thick sheet verifying from 0.1mm to 25mm. Length is overall measurement of the short side of the sheet. The standard sheet size is 10000mm*2500mm. The coil width 1000mm is also available. We also can process the special product for your requirement if you tell us the exact specification.
The hole shape
Round, square, long round, triangle, scale, diamond, oval, hexangular, slot etc.
Aperture
In general it is advisable to use a hole size larger than the material thickness. The closer the hole size and material thickness come to a 1 to 1 ratio, the more difficult and expencive the process is. Deperndent on the material type, smaller hole size to material ratios can be achieved. The minimum diamter we can fabricate is 0.003’’ (0.08 mm ). If you require a die that isn’t already in our die bank, our experienced tool and die makers can quickly make exactly what you need at a reasonable cost.
Pattern
We have tooling available for many different hole patterns and shapess. It is more economical to choose the available patterns, although special hole sizes and patterns can be accommodated at additional cost.
Pitch
Hole center is the distance from the center of one hole to the center of the nearest hole in the next adjoining row.
Open Area
Open area is the total area of the holes divided by the total area of the sheet and is expressed as a percent. Keep in mind that punching holes in a material add stresses that can result in distortion of the product. The higher the open area, the more material distortion takes place, especially when the perforated pattern is bordered by margins on all four sides. But these distortions can be removed by our special in house leveling process.
Margins
Margins are the blank area along the edges of the sheet. If you want the product with special margins, you should provide the width of each margin on all four sides (measured from the edge of the sheet to the edge of the first hole). Manufacturing considerations may affect margins. If the margins requested are not possible. We will replace it with the similar products as your consideration.
Tolerances
There are tolerances on thickness, pitch, openings, flatness, and shearing for perforated products. You should specify a specific tolerance, so we can give you a precise product. If not, we will according to standard tolerance.
