The main machine dryer, consists of a horizontal cylinder and a steam heated rotor which is equipped with heating plates. There are propellers in the plates, the angel of which could be adjusted, to push the meal ahead. The steam through the rotor is distributed through the heating plates evenly. The steam and the condensed water flow separately in the coiled tubes in the heating plates.
The discs and propellers supply good agitation of fish meal, a large area of contact between meal and disc and, accordingly, means for efficient dehydration. |
