NEOPRO Security Key is a new portable device that is designed to protect the user data from being stolen by others. Features include capable of operation without an external power supply, hot-plug, light and dedicated, shock-resistant and moisture proof, heat and cold-resistant, portable, and easy to use.

Please put CD into the CD/DVD-ROM drive, CD-ROM will run automatically. Please refer to following steps to install the driver (If it does not run automatically, click "My Computer" to open the disk and run AutoRun.exe):

 

First, click "Install NEOPRO Security Key driver" to start the NEOPRO Security Key driver installation program.

 

Second, click "Next”.

 

Third, installation program will install the driver automatically.

 

Fourth, click "Finish” to complete the installation.

After that, you can plug the NEOPRO Security Key into a computer's USB port and start experiencing.

 

 

Plug the NEOPRO Security Key into the computer which has installed driver, the system will detect the NEOPRO Security Key and open the NEOPRO Security Key Manager (NSK Manager) automatically:

Global unique ID of NEOPRO Security Key (used to distinguish different NEOPRO Security Keys) will appear on the title bar. Below are the functions of NEOPRO Security Key manager (NSK Manager):

 

A. Create the NEOPRO Security Volume (SV)

First, click "Create” in NEOPRO Security Key Manager (NSK Manager) to open the dialog for creating the NEOPRO Security Volume. Please follow below steps to configure the settings:

1.         Select the hosting disk. The SV will be allocated from the disk.

2.         Set the size of SV. Drag the slider or input the size of SV directly to complete the settings. The minimum size of SV is 2MB; maximum size can not exceed the total size of the free space of the disk you selected!

3.         Set the name of SV. Name should not exceed 64 characters.

4.         Set the password to access SV. This password will be required when mount or edit the SV. Please remember the SV password well. Once the password is lost, you will be unable to retrieve the data in the SV! You can also choose not to set the password, and then only the NEOPRO Security Key is needed to access the SV.

5.         If you wish to use the SV immediately after the creation, you can select the "mount immediately after the creation”. The system will mount the SV automatically after the creation. Please refer to next section for "mount the SV”.

Click "Create” to start the creation of SV after these settings. This will take some time due to the size of SV.

After the creation, the new created SV will appear in the NSK Manager:

 

The new created encrypted drive should be formatted before using. The formatting operation is the same as ordinary drive formatting.

When open the drive, a dialog box will pop up to require formatting:

Click "Yes”,

Click "Start” and then "OK” to compete the formatting.

 

B. mount the SV.

In the NSK Manager, select the target SV, and then click "Mount”.

Input the SV password in the Pop-up dialog box, select the drive and click "OK” to complete the mount.

After that, there will come out a new Drive in "My computer”, we can use it like other ordinary drives.

 

C. Dismount SV

In the NSK Manager, select the target SV, and then click "Dismount”.

 

If there is some file opened in the SV, it should be closed before dismounting; otherwise, the dismount operation may fail.

Please close all the opened files in the SV, and try again.

 

D. Edit the SV

In the NSK Manager, select the target SV, then click "Edit”, "Edit SV” dialog box will pop up.

In this dialog box, you can change the name and password of the SV or delete the SV. All these operations require the SV password.

 

E. Data Restore

If your NSK is lost or damaged by accident, you need to purchase a new NEOPRO Security Key (NSK), and find out the "global unique ID" and "Data Recovery DNA" on the original NSK packaging box, then insert the new key to the computer for recovery. Please follow these steps to recover the data:

 

In the NSK Manager, click "Data recovery”, a dialog box will pop up for Data recovery.

Input the "global unique ID", "Data Recovery DNA", and click "Find”, then you can find the SV created by the original NSK. Select the drive you want to restore and then click "Restore selected drive”.

 

Input the SV password and click "OK”.

Then the SV would be restored, and you can use the new NSK to access this SV.

 

Q: what’s the difference between NEOPRO and Guard Dog?

A: Guard Dog is designed to prevent software from been copied by encrypting the software, but NEOPRO Security Key can encrypt all data on your computer, and it is used for Data Loss Prevention. Operation is easier than Guard Dog. You can create a new drive with NEOPRO and save your data into that drive for the encryption.

 

Q: Is NEOPRO Secure and Reliable?

A: NEOPRO uses 256-bit AES encryption algorithm on which the existing network data, financial systems and other systems are based. In principle, it is like the USBKey that used by E-BANK, so it is very secure and reliable.

 

Q: What’s the difference between NEOPRO and Encryption Compression?

A: It’s more convenient to use NEOPRO as you can encrypt data like operating in ordinary hard drive, no need to encrypt or decrypt, compress or decompress, and there is no time delay. Once you plug out NEOPRO from the computer, your data is under protection. Plug it back to the USB port of the computer, you can access the data again. It's so easy at all!

 

Q: How many computers can one NEOPRO protect?

A: There is no limitation on the number of computers you can use with one NEOPRO. As long as there are free spaces on your hard drive, you can use NEOPRO to create NEOPRO Security Volume. You can use only one NEOPRO Security key with your home computer, office computer; you can even use it in the Internet bar to protect your data.

 

Q: What shall I do if I lost my NEOPRO Security Key?

A: If you lost your NEOPRO Security Key, please find the original "Data Recovery DNA" and contact us for recovering your data. But if you’ve lost the original "Data Recovery DNA", then nobody could help you to recover the data.

 

Q: Can NEOPRO protect my data from being lost?

A: No. NEOPRO security key could just prevent your data from leakage. But there are still some computer experts that could destruct your data. For example, if there is a hard drive that only you have the permission to access, but there still some people can break the hard drive, thus destruct the data.
