Our ultra transparent glass which features a transmittance of 97% or more,

We claims that the use of the glass enhances the conversion efficiency of photovoltaic cells by 2 to 3%.

The ultra transparent glass is made by applying a 100nm-thick anti-glare (AR)

 

film consisting of silicon oxide (SiO2) to the surface of glass. Specifically, a powder of SiO2,

 

which measures several nanometers, is dissolved in a solvent and applied to the surface of glass.

 

Then, it is burned at 700°C.

 

While a normal glass plate reflects about 4% of transmitted light at the front and back surfaces,

 

 respectively, the AR film reduces it to about 0.5-1.5%, As a result,

 

the transmittance can be improved from 91-92% to 97% or more.

 

As far as light with a wavelength of 400-500nm is concerned,

 

the film improves the transmittance from 91.5% to 99.0%.

 

In regard to the durability, the glass meets the "GB/T19394-2003"

 

and "GB/T18912-2002" endurance test standards in China.
