Description:
Ribbon mixers WLDH series with single shaft is especially developed for mixing batches of free flowing or cohesive powders with different particle sizes and bulk densities. The agitator rotates with minimum wall clearance in a U-shaped vessel. The mixing rotor consists of an inner and outer ribbon which effects a counter flow mass movement with random motion in radial and axial directions.
The mixing action in the ribbon blender is created by the following 3 factors:
1. The outer ribbon blender mixes the material from two sides to central part.
2. The inner ribbon blender mixes the material from central part to two sides.
3. Above movements can form a kind of convection during the mixture.
