The AmoyDx ABL T315I Mutation Detection Kit is a superior sensitive and selective assay for the detection of the T315I of ABL gene.

Studies shows, Gleevec only damages the ABL positive cells but has no effect over the negative cells. The gene mutation and/or amplification will cause the drug resistance of CML (Chronic myelogenous (or myeloid) leukemia) patients to Gleevec. Undoubtedly, the T315I mutation is the most important mutations of BCR-ABL in TKI drug resistance. Thus, knowing the mutation status of BCR-ABL for CML patients will determine if the patients are resistant to Gleevec or not.
