 As plastic additives, Glycerol Monostearate (DMG) is necessary for many many thermoplastic plastics, particularly for polyolefines as antishrinking agent, antistatic agent, antifog and release agents.  In order to adapt to the requirements of environmental protection, CFC-type blowing agent will gradually be eliminated. GMS can be used as highly expaned-foam polyethylene, polystyrene foam additives, work with butane blowing agent. Moreover, the application of GMS makes foam surface more smooth and bright without shrinkage.

DMG is a highly distilled glycerol esters which works as an active surface agent for plastics processing. DMG is a very efficient additive having a wide application spectrum on the plastics sector. It is suitatble for many thermoplastic plastics, particularly for polyolefines as antistatic agents and release agents. Being a nitrogen-free compound, DMG has been compared with nitrogeneous additives. Considerable advantages with regard to colour, smell and taste.
