WHAT IS SULPHATION
As any lead-acid battery ages (during use of simply standing idle), sulphation crystals gradually build up on the battery plates. Sulphation causes the battery to old less charge and limits the maximum current. Sulphation gradually builds up from day one until the battery becomes useless, as illustrated in the graph above.
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF SULPHATION
Lack of battery power causes difficult engine starting, especially after a vehicle has stood idle for some time. Electric motors lack power: golf carts and forklifts won' t go the distance. Alternators on heavy duty vehicles will regularly fail after a few of year of services, industrial/UPS Batteries (Bank) backup time decreases less than 50% & requires frequent DM water topping up.

Cellcare is an electronic device that connects across a single battery of a number of batteries in a battery bank. It is powered by the batteries using less than 60 mA, so needs no separate external power source. A microprocessor precisely controls the pulses which break up he sulphation crystals on the battery plates, preventing sulphation from ever reducing the performance of the batteries.
