DED30XXD PE clear primer series (DOIT D SERIES PE PAINT)
Applicable scope:
Apply to MDF with wood veneer and wooden furniture of medium and high grade which require applying transparent primer (or basecoat).
Characteristics:
1. Good greening-resistance characteristic compared with peer-products.
2. Good sealing property.
3. Fast drying, easy to sand, good transparency and excellent comprehensive properties.

Note: ① The information herein is based upon laboratory tests and is intended for guidance only. The data contained herein are liable to modification as a result of practical experience. ② Cobalt salt should be appropriately increased 0.1 — 0.2 percent, when humidity is more than 85%.
- Viscosity: 18 to 25 seconds (EZ cup#4 / 25°C).
- Pot life : ≤15 minutes.
- Construction: spraying, brush.
- Construction condition: temperature 5 °C— 40 °C, humidity ≤85%.
- The drying time: surface drying ≤60 minutes, hard drying time≤6 hours (25 °C) / surface drying ≤80 minutes, hard drying ≤8 hours (10 °C).
- Application process: surface preparation — spray stain — PE/PU primer sealer — PE transparent primer —PE gloss clear topcoat/ PU gloss clear topcoat.
Package and storage:
The paint shall be stored in a 22kg metal can in a shady, cool, dry and ventilated place, avoiding rain, high temperature and fire with a shelf-life of 3 months.
Note:
1. Mix on recommended ratio. Use recommended products of Doit in order to have the best performance. Don’t risk mixing other brand’s products.
2. Finish spraying within 15 minutes is highly recommended because the raw materials are high active imported resin, with the characteristic of short gel time. Clean brushes and spray equipment immediately after each use in order to avoid causing damage.
3. For the best hardness, bake the coating(temperature ≤50°C) for 4-8 hours after finish gets hard dry when the temperature is less than 15°C.
4. Wait at least 24 hours after painting prior to polishing.
5. Recommended mixing method: divide PE transparent primer into two equal parts, and put them into two cans respectively, while one can put in cobalt salt (promoter), the other can in MEKPO (initiator). Both sides mix with PE thinner thoroughly. Take the same amount from both sides when spraying. The life time of PE primer with cobalt salt is less than 12 hours, while with MEKPO less than 4 hours.
6. Mix the lacquer based on the actual usage, lest causing waste. Seal the rest paint that has not been mixed.
7. Suitable application environment: temperature 7°C — 40°C, humidity ≤85%.
8. Sanding each coat thoroughly without any shiny or lustrous spots before painting, lest causing poor adhesion.
9. Apply PE paint directly on wet substrates or under very damp humid weather may cause problems such as dry film, poor adhesion and blushing.
10.Don’t collect and wash tack rags dipped into cobalt salt and MEKPO together. Collect and dispose PE paint residue, volume solid and packaging materials. All these should conform to the local environmental criteria and requirements.
11.The product look a slight muddy during the storage, but it will become clear after stirring. It has nothing to do with product’s properties and characteristics.
