DED30XXK PE clear primer series (the fourth generation of DOIT PE PAINT)

Applicable scope:

Apply to substrate with wood veneer, with paper and wooden furniture which show a high depth of image.

Characteristics:

1. The PE lacquer which contain moisture resistance factors can effectively prevent the generation of water mist on the paint surface in damp weather. The unique formula makes "K" series of products be easily applied to light colored wood veneer or wooden furniture, without having to worry about the substrate turning green or becoming mildewed.
2. Superior filling, rubbing and hardness properties.
3. Applicable to substrate with wood veneer or with paper.
4. Fast dry in the low temperature, non-stick to sand paper.
5. No pinhole and white pot problems under high temperature (30o C-40 o C).

     Note: ① The information herein is based upon laboratory tests and is intended for guidance only. The data contained herein are liable to modification as a result of practical experience. ② Cobalt salt should be appropriately increased 0.1 — 0.2 percent, when humidity is more than 85%.    

1. Viscosity: 18 to 25 seconds (EZ cup#4 / 25o C).
2. Pot life : ≤15 minutes.
3. Construction: spraying, brush.
4. Construction condition: temperature 5 o C—40 o C, humidity ≤85%.
5. The drying time: touch dry ≤60 minutes, hard dry≤6 hours (25 o C) / touch dry ≤80 minutes, hard dry ≤8 hours (10 o C).
6. Application process: surface preparation—spray stain — PE/PU primer sealer— PE transparent primer — PE gloss clear topcoat/ PU clear topcoat.

Package and storage:

     The paint should be stored in a 22kg metal can in a shady, cool, dry and ventilated place, avoiding rain, high temperature and fire with a shelf life of 3 months.

Note:

1. The fourth generation PE paint is only suitable for light-colored substrate. Do not apply on the dark-colored substrate, lest affecting transparency.
2. Mix on recommended ratio. Use recommended products of Doit in order to have the best performance. Don’t risk mixing other brand’s products.
3. Recommended mixing method: divide PE transparent primer into two equal parts, and put them into two cans respectively, while one can put in cobalt salt (promoter), the other can in MEKPO (initiator). Both sides mix with PE thinner thoroughly. Take the same amount from both sides when spraying. The life time of PE primer with cobalt salt is less than 12 hours, while with MEKPO less than 4 hours. Before spraying, stir it evenly, because it is easy for powder in the transparent primer to precipitate when it is mixed with thinner.
4. Stir frequently during use to prevent setting.
5. Mix materials based on the actual usage, lest causing waste. Close container after each use.
6. Wash painting tool immediately after each use, in order to avoid damage.
7. Suitable application environment: temperature 10o C — 40o C, humidity ≤85%.
8. Sanding each coat thoroughly without any shiny or lustrous spots before painting, lest causing poor adhesion.
9. Apply PE paint directly on wet substrates or under very damp humid weather may cause problems such as dry film, poor adhesion and blushing
10. Don’t collect and wash tack rags with cobalt salt and MEKPO together. Collect and dispose PE paint residue, volume solid and packaging materials. All these should conform to the local environmental criteria and requirements.
