Properties: White, odorless and tasteless solid. It is yellow when contains impurities. Paraffin is stable, being unaffected by most alkali, inorganic acid and halogen. Paraffin melts easily when encounter heat and burns in high temperature.

Applications: Making candles, crayons, stencil, shoe cream, common telecommunication apparatus and other light industrial chemicals. Fine white wax is applied in high-frequency porcelain, carbon paper, stencil paper, cold cream and cosmetic such like rouge and eyebrow pencil. Yellow paraffin is applied in rubber, match, candle, fiberboard and common industrial materials.
The abrasive resistance and smoothness of ink film can be improved when paraffin is added into printing ink. The finished goods, called microcrystalline wax, have a tiny crystal structure. It has a good effect when added into ink.
