It is white to yellow-white powder, odorless and tasteless, slightly soluble in water (0.37%,25℃) and acetic acid but soluble in inorganic acid, ammonia and citric acid. It’s molecular formula is Fe₄(P₂O₇)₃ • xH₂O and molecular weight is 745.22.
 

Character:

①      The particle size is very fine, up to 1~3µm, which greatly increased its scope of application.

②      Good solubility.

③      Light color, it is whiter than other manufactures.

④      High iron assay, it is 24%-30%.

⑤      Good absorbency and high bioavailability.

Application: As iron nutritional supplement, it is widely used in flour, biscuits, bread, dry mix milk powder, rice flour, soybean powder, etc. It also used in infant formula food, health food, instant food, functional juice drinks and other products abroad .
