Betaine Hydrochloride
Betaine is a kind of alkaloid of quaternaries. It can stimulate animals' sense of smell or taste and improve animals' ingestion. It's the chief food inducing ingredients of aquatic feed and has special stimulating and promoting effect on ingestion of aquatic animals such as fish, shrimp, crab, eel, turtle, and bullfrog;
Betaine is also an inner salt of glycine. It acts as both amino acid and methyl-supplier in the course of animals' metabolism. It can join enzymatic reaction and has the function of resisting fatty liver;
Betaine is a buffer for cataclysmic osmotic pressure.
Application
As a food-inducing agent of aquiculture, betaine can be used in rising the rate of picking food and livability of scrod, promoting growth, minifying feed residue and keeping water quality;
Betaine can substitute for part of methionine or chlorine as methyl-supplier;
If coccidiostats such as salinomycin, monamycin are used together with betaine, their effect may be improved.
