Oriental Beauty is a unique tea in Taiwan. It is medium-fermented and the aroma is full of the sweetness of fruits and honey. How is the special aroma from? Since the buds need to be bitten by the Jacobiasca formosana (one kind of insects live in tea farms) they can be materials for Oriental Beauty. In order to cluster Jacobiasca formosana in tea plantations, it is prohibited to spray any pesticides. After picking the wholeheartedly two tea leaves by hands, we would made Oriental Beauty by our traditional technique. Finally, the oriental beauty is produced. The buds which are bitten by Jacobiasca formosana would become white then, which called “pekoe”. The tea will show in five colors: green, yellow, red, brown, and white. The color of tea is amber, and the taste would be sweet which you would have never felt.
